Welcome to Christ the King Roman Catholic School website! We hope that you enjoy exploring these pages as you learn about our school and our community.
Students at Christ the King excel in a rigorous academic setting focused on developing the skills necessary for critical thinking, reading, writing, mathematics, science, language development and creative expression. Through engagement in an assortment of extracurricular activities and community service projects, teachers and parents work together to encourage students as they discover their talents and become well-rounded, contributing citizens.
High academic standards and a curriculum developed by the Archdiocese of Denver sets the stage for our students to experience excellent preparation for high school and beyond. Our students consistently achieve at least one full grade in growth on the annual ITBS tests, and our eighth graders’ averages, in most categories, reach 13 +, the top of the scale. Many of our graduates are accepted into honors programs in both Denver-area Catholic and public high schools.
The Catholic faith is central to our school, and religion is one of the core subjects taught at each grade level. Kindergartners through eighth-grade students present the readings, intercessions and gifts at the school’s weekly Mass. In addition, Catholic students are prepared for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation. This Catholic Faith Formation permeates everything we do, and helps us to form the whole child, to know, to love and to serve. Our commitment to the tenants of the faith and our loving community of Christ continue to bring back our highly-qualified and caring teachers year after year.
Small class sizes not only enhance learning but, as our children grow up together, classmates develop life-long friendships based on mutual respect and trust. Students’ friendships are deepened by the many experiences outside the classroom such as outdoor education, retreats and class trips, field day, middle-school dances and sports. Connections are also made across grade levels within our Caring Communities, and with a buddy system that pairs older students with younger children for reading, Mass, field trips and other activities.
We hope that you will check out some of the things that make us unique on this website:
