Christ the King School students participate in sports through the Catholic School Athletic League (CSAL).
During the school year, students are encouraged to participate in cross country, and on the school basketball and volleyball teams.
Each year, our students participate in the President's Fitness Award
, which includes challenges in physical activity, sports and good nutrition. The event helps to promote a healthier lifestyle through:
- Regular physical activity
- Participation in sports
- Improved eating habits
Each school year in the fall, our entire school takes part in our annual Field Day. This is a fun-filled event that allows students from kindergarten through 8th grade to participate in running races, obstacle courses, relays and other challenging events.
In the spring, our Middle School students compete against students from other Catholic schools in a track and field meet held at Mullen High School. This annual competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to test their abilities and get to know other Catholic youth from across the Denver metro area.
Other fitness activities include Jump for Hearts
and Hoops for Hearts
, an annual fundraiser benefiting the American Heart Association
; and Girls on the Run
, a nationwide program which promotes fitness, positive body image and self-confidence for young girls.
