Mr. Ben Sclove
Athletic Director & Physical Education Teacher
Mr. Sclove grew up just outside of Chicago, where both of his parents were educators. Surrounded by a love for learning, he developed a passion for team sports early on. He feels blessed to have been shown by his coaches how sports build character. This shaped his belief that sports teach young people to handle failure, work as a team, and understand the link between hard work and success. He strives to pass on the same virtues his mentors instilled in him, helping Christ the King students grow on and off the field. Mr. Sclove’s work experience includes workplace safety training, mentoring young adults, and solar PV design. He earned his degree in Health and Human Performance, with a focus on Physical Education and Sports, from Eastern Oregon University. As PE teacher and Athletic Director at Christ the King, he believes that team sports are an opportunity to strengthen the community, valuing life lessons and personal growth over winning.
