Mrs. Sandy Howard

Middle School Math and Science Teacher

Mrs. Howard is originally from the city of Durban in South Africa. Having grown up near the beach, she now loves being near the mountains and seeing the beautiful view on her way to school every morning! She emigrated to the United States in 2001, along with her husband Russell and then 3-year-old son Conor. In 2003, the family welcomed daughter Rebecca (Becca) into the family. Mrs. Howard graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in education from Edgewood College of Education in South Africa, and then earned a Master’s Degree in Education here in the United States. She has been involved in education for over 30 years.

Mrs. Howard adores teaching middle school students and feels that it is a unique and special time in students’ lives. She feels privileged to be able to teach this age group. Math and Science are two of her favorite subjects, but she loves learning new things in any subject. She believes you are never too old to learn something new!

When not teaching, Mrs. Howard loves to read, listen to music, or watch trivia shows.
